Hi! Is it too late to request a Marine get the opportunity to be home for the birth of his first child? Ryan is a CH-53 pilot on deployment in Afghanistan. He and Devon are too considerate and committed to his service to think about asking for any special treatment but I know it would mean the world to both of them if he could be there. He’s on his third deployment in as many years. She’s due in early December and he won’t be home until February.

Not sure how it all works, just thought I’d ask on behalf of two deserving people. They’re stationed in San Diego, CA. I’m a good friend of theirs and also a Naval Officer myself. They have no idea about my request.
