The colors only crossed when the cameras were within about a 10-15 degree angle of each other. To prevent overlap we just avoided putting the cameras close enough together to cause any disruption and the reflective background cooperated. Other than the Ice Cream Man and his loudspeaker outside the backdoor, the shoot went smoothly.

MOOV at Transmission Studio Denver http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/07/27/moov-at-transmission-studio-denver/ http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/07/27/moov-at-transmission-studio-denver/#comments Tue, 27 Jul 2010 16:43:53 +0000 Administrator http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/?p=537 This photo is from a shoot with MOOV at Transmission Studio. Lori and Jeff needed to record a cake with the candles blowing out and smoke rising into the air. We started with an overhead light, a bounce fill and some backlight for the smoke.  Then we shot the scene several times, each time removing one light from the equation.  This gave them many options to work with which will make for a tough choice, as they all turned out really good. Nightvision 2010 – More from Backstage http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/07/14/nightvision-2010-more-from-backstage/ http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/07/14/nightvision-2010-more-from-backstage/#comments Thu, 15 Jul 2010 04:33:26 +0000 Administrator http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/?p=518 More pictures from the stage at Nightvision 2010. I took these on the second day of the music festival as I wandered around during soundcheck and set-up.  Apparently the band Third Day prefers Fender and Gretch guitars. Don’t you?

The second shot is of the stage before Third Day came on.  It was late and there were delays. But as you know, the Show must go on.

Nightvision 2010 – behind the scenes http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/07/09/nightvision-2010-behind-the-scenes/ http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/07/09/nightvision-2010-behind-the-scenes/#comments Fri, 09 Jul 2010 09:10:43 +0000 Administrator http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/?p=509 The lighting crew readies a truss full of Par lights during set-up today for Nightvision Music Festival in Olathe, CO.  I had a few minutes down time when I took this picture while waiting for the stage crew to clear water from the roof over the main stage. A big storm roared through the town and nearly ripped the tent from its moorings. It held us up all afternoon and we didn’t finish set-up until 9pm!

This weekend I’m working with the  Yellow Gal Productions video crew and their new HD production trailer for the two day festival.

Dennis Hopper – Rest In Peace http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/05/30/dennis-hopper-rest-in-peace/ http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/2010/05/30/dennis-hopper-rest-in-peace/#comments Sun, 30 May 2010 17:19:35 +0000 Administrator http://philluceroproductions.com/blog1/?p=476 American actor Dennis Hopper died Saturday at age 74.   Seen in classic movies “Easy Rider”, “Apocolypse Now” and “Blue Velvet”, Hopper brought real life and excitement to the roles he played.  Always the underdog and sometimes accused of being difficult to work with early in his career, Hopper, a Hollywood outsider helped to establish the counterculture movement. In 1998 “Easy Rider” was included in the United States National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
